On Saturday, Nov. 1 from 9AM-3PM, Peek-a-Do! the salon for kids will be celebrating its third birthday by having a fundraiser and book drive for Mrs. Reuther's classroom at Club Blvd. Elementary! The classroom was destroyed by fire on Oct. 8 and Mrs. Reuther needs our help to get the supplies she needs to help her students learn. Mrs. Reuther has been teaching in Durham Public Schools for 18 years and has touched the lives of hundreds of children. Please help us to get her the supplies she needs to teach hundreds more! Marbles Kids Museum will be celebrating Halloween on Friday and Saturday with lots of crafts and other activities all day. Kids will be able to decorate pumpkins, build a scarecrow and print with vegetables. A Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt is self-led and ongoing in Castaway Cove. Marbles will be dressed up in their Halloween best both days.

Grey Seal Puppets performs "Salsa Cinderella" at the Doris Duke Center at the Sarah P. Duke Gardens. We saw this production last spring in Raleigh and my three-year-old loved it. It's the classic Cinderella tale only all the characters are the ingredients for salsa. Very funny. Start: 11:00 am

Raleigh Dance Theatre's Storybook Tales Fancy Nancy: Bonjour, Butterfly, Jonathon and the Gingery Snare, and Snow White A popular family-oriented production based on favorite childhood stories. Jonathon and the Gingery Snare is a narrated ballet with live music written and composed by Durham-based Pulitzer prize winner, Robert Ward, about a boy searching for a pet within the percussion Fancy Nancy is a series of books written by Jane O’Connor, illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser. Build a scarecrow and enjoy refreshments and other activities. Forms to support your scarecrow are provided, along with the stuffing. Bring your scarecrow's wardrobe. Morehead Planetarium and Science Center presents "Scare-o-lina Skies," a special version of it's popular "Carolina Skies" show to celebrate Halloween. The show runs at 8 p.m., Oct. 24-25 and Nov. 1.
