Once again, the Museum of Life and Science is transformed into a world of mechanical marvels and artful wizardry by bringing Steve Gerberich back to the Triangle for a Fall/Winter exhibition. Featuring five large scale, holiday-themed sculptures and installations, Gerberich explores scientific principles in artfully creative ways appealing to both kids and adults alike. Gerberich’s work has been featured in the famous Macy’s store windows as well as on CBS Sunday Morning, NBC’s Today Show, and The New York Times.

The 6 BC Endurance Race will be hosted by Triangle Off Road Cyclists (TORC) on Saturday, November 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Briar Chapel community in Chapel Hill. This is the second installment of the Johnson Subaru Endurance Race. Enjoy riding for six hours through groves of pines and oaks on the rugged terrain of Bennett Mountain. Registration on race day is $60 for all categories.

Outdoor ice skating comes to Raleigh this Saturday, November 14 when Raleigh on Ice, Raleigh’s newest holiday tradition, presented by Warté Designs, opens the first of three outdoor ice skating rink locations.  Brier Creek Commons will also offer free sleigh rides and will host Santa’s arrival during their annual tree lighting celebration.
