Children of all ages are invited to cross the bridge – the U.S. 1/64 Pedestrian Bridge in Cary – on Saturday, April 18, 2009, for the Second Annual Kids Together Family Fun & Fitness Walk at the Marla Dorrel Park, 111 Thursday Drive; registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m. Tickets are $15 per family or $5 per individual. This fun-filled event will feature live entertainment and awards for kids. Each year, the walk is held to promote Kids Together Playground, Marla Dorrel Park and MacDonald Woods Park, as well as the pedestrian bridge and greenway trail that connect the two.
