Children's Parade and Art in the Park - Wake Forest

Bring your kids, their bikes, motorized cars or some walking shoes to participate in Wake Forest's children's parade, a walking parade (no vehicles allowed). Lineup for the children's parade begins at 10 a.m. at the intersection of North Main Street and West Juniper Avenue. The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. It's free and growing. As many as 2,000 participated last year. Kids on bikes should wear their helmets.

Then head over to Holding Park, 133 W. Owen St., for Art in the Park and Games in the Park. The event includes games, crafts projects, a watermelon seed spitting contest, sack races and more. The event starts at 11 a.m.
