he much anticipated annual “yard-sale” style fund-raiser for Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve is scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2009 from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. Each year generous citizens donate their unwanted household items like toys, small appliances and furniture (no white goods, computers or tires please) to be “recycled” to other families who shop for bargains the day of the sale.

Please bring your unwanted treasures to the Stevens Nature Center on Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Then come back the day of the sale for some treasure hunting! This event is sponsored by the Friends of Hemlock Bluffs, all proceeds from the sale benefit Hemlock Bluffs, the Stevens Nature Center, as well as the conservation and environmental education efforts conducted on site.
