The Ingalls Family Long Winter - Raleigh
Laura Ingalls Wilder and her family really had to tough it out. Learn what the family did to survive one especially “long winter" during this program at Historic Yates Mill County Park.
Participants will try grinding wheat the way the Ingalls family had to using a coffee mill. Find out how the family celebrated Christmas and sample some holiday treats. This program will take place in the Finley Center Auditorium. There is a $3 pre-registration fee required and a limit of 20 participants (not including accompanying adults).
The program runs 11 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 12 and Dec. 13.
