Kidzu Children's Museum reopens - Chapel Hill
Big changes are coming to Kidzu Children's Museum in downtown Chapel Hill. After more than two years of featuring traveling exhibits rented from other children’s museums, Kidzu Children’s Museum is preparing to unveil its first original exhibit on Friday, July 11th.
“KidZoom: The Power of Creativity” is a hands-on exhibit designed to inspire children to exercise creativity in all areas of life. Incorporating works by over a dozen local artists and craftspeople, KidZoom will feature three main “creation zones,” all powered by children's imaginations. The exhibit will include: the "Green Thumb" Garden-to-Table Market, the "Build-A-Dream" Construction Zone, and the "Kidoodle Moodle" Art Studio. KidZoom will also include an updated Tot Spot, a Book Nook and a Caregiver Resource Area. The exhibit will be bilingual with exhibit text in both English and Spanish.
Admission is free for the unveiling.
