Parenting the Angry Child

When an angry child doesn't apply appropriate mechanisms to channel their frustrations, or is unable to adapt coping skills, they grow into angry adolescents, then into angry adults.

If your child has a quick-temper, is disruptive in the classroom, destructive at home or to property, disrespectful of authority figures, or unable to control his or her anger, then this is a seminar you definitely need to attend.

Childcare for elementary and middle school-age children is available onsite, free of charge, however parents must pre-register for childcare.

Deadline to pre-register childcare is two days before the event.

For more information about the Family Advocacy Network, which is sponsoring the event, go to www.fan-mhaorangeco.org.

It is seriously tough, parenting an angry child.

The whole world can seem to be against you - a word of caution however. Dont assume the reports of authorities and schools are necessarily accurate or objective.

The jungle drums are alive and well in staff rooms - teachers can pass on vibes about bad kids, to the next class, who then treat them as disruptive or poor performers without a proper foundation - and it can become a self fulfilling prophecy.
