Celebrate the warmest time of the year during Solar Family Science Day at Morehead Planetarium and Science Center. Solar Family Science Day offers free activities to learn about the sun, Earth's closest star.

Here are a few of the opportunities open to all ages: Use the sun's light to tell time and the sun's heat to cook snacks; participate in science experiments during a special "Energetic Science LIVE!" program; discover the best ways to protect against injury from the sun's rays; and join Morehead Director Todd Boyette for a special storytime in the Solar Story Corner.
