Songbird Celebration - Wake County

Songbird Celebration is an annual event celebrating the return of migratory songbirds and in honor of International Migratory Bird Day (http://www.birdday.org/). It is a FREE festival for bird lovers of all ages, and a great outing for families, Scouts and other youth groups. Enjoy bird-related activities throughout the park, including games and crafts, preschool storytimes, classes for adults and kids, birdwatching and more.

Registration is not required for walk-up activities, but it is for special hikes and programs that will be offered during the event.

To get to the park off Six Forks Road, follow the directions on the park's Web site. Online mapping services give the wrong directions.
