What kid doesn't love airplanes? Take your family to an open house of RDU's new Terminal 2, the giant glass structure that will open for real on Oct. 26 and replaces Terminal C. The day includes free food from the terminal's restaurants, giveaways and kids activities. Watch planes take off and land and check out the new customs and immigration area.

Afterwards, head over to the airport's Observation Park, where kids can play on pretend runways and listen to the chatter of air traffic controllers and pilots from a live feed.
