The Working Mothers Manifesto - Strategies for Making Life Work

Carol_Evans.jpg

Even though some women are opting out of successful careers to raise their children, others are courageously “doing it all.” In her book, “This Is How We Do It: The Working Mothers’ Manifesto,” Carol Evans, CEO and President of Working Mothers magazine gives firsthand accounts of working mothers who reveal their innovative solutions to successfully balancing their careers and their families.

Using chapters from her book and advice from the pages of Working Mother magazine, Evans explores the challenges parents and employers face. Participants walk away with:

  • Practical tips and tools to ease work/life stress
  • New ways to think about work and personal lives
  • Tried-and-true solutions of how other working mothers successfully balance family and career
  • Ideas on how to alter the “one-size-fits-all” career track to better fit the shape of your own life
  • Suggestions for creating a network of working women in your community

Evans has appeared on The Early Show, The Today Show, Oprah, Good Morning America and on hundreds of radio shows and in newspapers nationwide.
