Moms in Raleigh and Cary, how much have you heard about this?
Article -- This is YOUR Drinking Water
Its pretty scary what Durham is doing to the water you and your kids have to drink. There are a few of us in Durham who are trying to fight this but we can't stop them, unless Moms in Raleigh and Cary start putting their foot down, and standing up for themselves and the health of their kids. What do you think about this? Is this the first you've heard about it? Have any of you talked to your town council representative, county commissioner, or mayor? What did they say to you? Have you seen any coverage at all in the media?
I'd like to hear from everyone on this!

What's your dream nursery? I paint murals and design nurseries in the Raleigh area, so I'm picking new mom's brains for more ideas. I'd welcome any suggestions for new nursery designs.
My site is http://www.cadydidrooms.com/Home.html
If you have a chance, let me know favorites and what you do and don't like.
Thanks!

I recently moved to Raleigh and am 13 weeks pregnant. I think I'm going to deliver at Rex, but I'm still trying to find a doctor. I know they have a list on their website, but I'd prefer personal references. Can anybody tell me who their dr. is, and if they are happy with them. Also, I'd like to know what everyone thinks of delivering at Rex Family Birth Center? Good/bad experiences? Thanks!

I have just placed on Craigslist postings to sell my maternity clothes, an infant car seat, a Graco swing, and a double breast pump. My 3 children were born in November, March and June, so my clothes cover just about all seasons. I worked full time during all pregnancies, so I have a full range of dresses, suit separates, as well as cute cotton shirts that could be casual or dressy.
I also have added a Graco swing that was only used for my last (2 years old now) and we hardly used it because he didn't like it! It has 3 speeds, plus classical music that can be played.
Also see a Graco infant car seat, also used only for my now 2 year old. It is a beige with jungle scene, so it could go for a girl or a boy. The base is included.
Check these out, and let me know if you are interested! You can email me directly, and mention that you saw this on Triangle Mom2Mom. (gcfrancis@bellsouth.net).

Are you pregnant? Are you planning on attending a prenatal course?
You may be eligible to participate in a research program at the University of North Carolina.
For more information & to see if you are eligible: Visit BabyPREPStudy.com!
Baby PREP is a prenatal education program being offered by researchers at UNC. We are investigating a new way of teaching prenatal education that incorporates the traditional curriculum with “a little extra.” The purpose of the “little extra” is to prevent postpartum distress and anxiety by giving the parents-to-be important tools.
Baby PREP may be a good match if you are:
• Age 18 or older
• In your 2nd or 3rd trimester
• Married or living with a partner
• We will also have you fill out a short screening questionnaire about thoughts and feelings to determine your risk level for developing postpartum distress.
This program consists of one initial screening session, 6 FREE prenatal classes, and three postpartum phone check-ins.
• Location: Classes are held at Carolina Childbirth Classes located in Cary near Cary Towne Center
• Next Class: Starts May 11th
• Educator: The Classes are taught by Elissa Brody. Elissa is a certified nurse and childbirth educator and has more than 10 years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse and midwife.

Hi,
I have 2 sons and I just found out I am carrying a baby girl. I was really shocked because I expected another boy.
My husband is worried about the boys rough-housing around their baby sister. They are DEFINITELY not the rough type, compared to other boys their age. Still, they're not used to being around a newborn. Any advice?

What did you/are you craving during your pregnancy(ies)?
The first time around I couldn't get enough of root beer barrels (those hard candies). And they actually are pretty hard to find. So whenever I did, I'd get a pound of them. For a few weeks early on, I could only eat pudding, boiled new potatoes and watermelon.
This time around has been a little easier, but I've really been enamored of orange and yellow foods or at least that's pretty much the only thing that connects them all - cantaloupe, grapefruit, yellow mustard (not the spicy kind or dijon), American cheese, mac and cheese, pineapple, oranges, anything lemony, scrambled eggs. And early on, I really wanted food you'd have at a summer picnic: Fresh tomatoes, corn on the cob (yellow again), that sweet macaroni salad you get at the grocery store, strawberry shortcake, baked beans. But no grilled meats until the last few weeks.
No crazy pickles and ice cream combo here. I'm sure you guys have much better ones than me.

I am terrified to have another baby. I have a 5 year old, a 7 month old, and now I just found out I'm pregnant. Has anyone else been in this situation before? If so did you loose your mind like I feel like I'm going to? What am I going to do?

Hi,
After I had my 2nd child, we really thought we were done. Therefore, I sold all of our infant equipment (bouncer, swing, co-sleeper, sling). I kept the crib simply because my 2nd son stayed in it until he was 3 1/2. :-) I'm 13 weeks pregnant with our 3rd child, and we need to buy some baby gear. I will be having another c-section and the crib is rough for me during the recovery because of having to bend over to pick up the baby. Therefore I would love to have a co-sleeper again, such as this one from Arm's Reach that has one side open to get to the baby easily:
http://www.amazon.com/Original-Co%252dSleeper-%252d-Solid-Toffee/dp/B000...
I would really love to save some money on this item, since I would only use it for a relatively short time. I am also in the market for a bouncer, swing, and sling. I may try consignment sales but I thought I'd post here to see if anyone has any of these items for sale.
Thanks!
