Family 5K walk! Bridging the Gap Between Treatment to Active Living.

Hi everyone! I am new to this site and would love to share an awesome event that is coming up on March 27th! All families are welcome!
Please come and join in the fun!

The Pink Pacers Story
The Pink Pacers Team was created 3 years ago when 2 women came together to walk 39.3 miles in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Anne (a 6-year survivor) and Katy raised $6,000 and have not stopped since. As of October of 2009, the Pink Pacers have grown into a large group of men and women dedicated to making a difference in the Breast Cancer community. As a result of their grassroots efforts such as yard sales, facebook challenges and babysitting, the team has raised over $111,000. The Pink Pacers have been involved in 5 Avon Walks for Breast Cancer, walking over 196.5 miles in the name of finding a cure for breast cancer.
In October of 2009, the Pink Pacers decided to continue in their commitment to this cause and join forces with a local program called Get REAL & HEEL. The Pink Pacer’s motto is “Walk On” which they will continue to do until there is a cure! Please "walk on" with us by joining our FIRST ever 5K walk! If you are not local or you will be out of town for this event, then please register as a "sleeping in" participant for $10.00. 100% of the money from registration and donations will be given directly to the Get REAL & HEEL program! Please visit www.getrealandheel.com to learn more about this wonderful post treatment breast cancer program!

Time for Consignment Sales

Consignment sale season has started! Don't miss our  list of the 2010 Spring Consignment sales in the area. As always, if your sale is missing, I want to add it! Just e-mail me or simply post a comment at the end of this.

If you are heading to a consignment sale for the first time be sure
to bring something to carry your purchases in, such as a stroller or a
laundry basket. At many of the sales, people begin lining up before the
sale opens, so if you want to be one of the first in the sale, get
there early. If possible, try to leave your kids at home.
