Time for Consignment Sales

Consignment sale season has started! Don't miss our  list of the 2010 Spring Consignment sales in the area. As always, if your sale is missing, I want to add it! Just e-mail me or simply post a comment at the end of this.

If you are heading to a consignment sale for the first time be sure
to bring something to carry your purchases in, such as a stroller or a
laundry basket. At many of the sales, people begin lining up before the
sale opens, so if you want to be one of the first in the sale, get
there early. If possible, try to leave your kids at home.

Pirate's Gold Chocolate From Costco

There's a candy scare related to chocolate coins sold at Costco - just in time for Halloween.

Canadian officials found that some of the Sherwood Brands' Pirate's Gold candies contained melamine, the chemical in baby formula that has made so many babies sick in China. Four have died.

Sherwood Brands says that these candies were not shipped into the U.S. market. More tests are being done

I'm a frequent Costco shopper and haven't seen these there before - though I'm not lingering very long in the candy aisle. Still scary.

Birthday Presents

Curious - how much does everybody spend on birthday presents for their child's friends?

I'm a Paramedic Certified by the American Heart Association to teach CPR, AED, Choking Management, and First Aid for infants, children and adults. The first 2 to 3 minutes in an emergency is the most critical time in a medical emergency, and the average person can learn lifesaving techniques in 3 to 4 hours. I believe this is a must for all parents. I can come to you, or set up a class. A minimum of 8 students is required.

I'm also certified to teach the following:
