WAKE COUNTY

Marbles Kids Museum

NC Museum of Natural Sciences

Hours: Monday - Saturday, 9 am–5 pm; Sunday, noon–5 pm; On the first Friday of every month (except as noted) the Museum stays open until 9 pm.
Admission: General Admission is free, donations are accepted. There is a cover charge for special exhibits.

NC Museum of Art

Admission: Free to the Museum and the permanent collection. There is a charge for special exhibitions and some programs.

NC Museum of History

Planet Child

DURHAM COUNTY

Museum of Life and Science

Hours: From January 1 through September 9, Monday-Saturday 10 am-5 pm; Sunday noon-5 pm. From September 1 through December 31, Monday closed to the public; Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5 pm; Sunday noon-5 pm. Members of the museum are admitted at 9 am Monday through Saturday.
Admission: Adults, $10.85; Seniors (65 and older) $8.85; Children ages 3-12, $7.85; Children (under 3) free.

ORANGE COUNTY

Ackland Art Museum
Address: Located on Columbia Street near the Franklin Street
intersection in downtown Chapel Hill, on the campus of The University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Hours: Wednesday-Saturday 10 am-5 pm; Sunday 1pm-5pm; Closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Open until 9 pm on the 2nd Friday of every month.

Kidzu Children's Museum

Admission: Adults and children over 24 monts of age $4. Members and children 24 months of age and younger are admitted free.

Morehead Planetarium and Science Center
Address: 250 E. Franklin St. in downtown Chapel Hill

Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5
p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday; 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.,

Admission: $6 for adults; $5 for children, students and senior citizens; free for members.

Nasher Museum
Address: 2001 Campus Drive, Durham (on Duke University's Central Campus)

Hours: Monday-closed; Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 10 am-5 pm; Thursday 10 am-9 pm; Sunday Noon-5 pm
Admission: Fee is $5, $4 for seniors, $4 for members of the Duke Alumni Association with membership card, $3 for non-Duke students with I.D. and free for children 16 and younger. Admission is FREE to Duke University students, faculty and staff with I.D. and to Durham city residents who present a valid I.D. with address or proof of residency.
