Triangle API Meetings! Every Second Friday of Each Month

tapilogo.jpg

Come join us every second Friday of each month for API meetings, support and information. 6:30 - 8: 30 Raleigh Friends Meeting House, 625 Tower Street, Raleigh, NC

Bring your children and other family members with you, we will plan activities for you to with them to help build a healthy attachment.

The essence of Attachment Parenting is about
forming and nurturing strong connections between parents and their
children.

Attachment Parenting challenges us as parents to
treat our children with kindness, respect and dignity, and to model in our
interactions with them the way we'd like them to interact with others.

Attachment Parenting isn't new. In many ways, it is
a return to the instinctual behaviors of our ancestors.

This body of knowledge offers strong support for
areas that are key to the optimal development of children, in API's Eight
Principles of Parenting.

Prepare for Pregnancy, Birth, and Parenting
Feed with Love and Respect
Respond with Sensitivity
Use Nurturing Touch
Ensure Safe Sleep, Physically and Emotionally
Provide Consistent and Loving Care
Practice Positive Discipline
Strive for Balance in Personal and Family Life
