The Diamond in the rogue

I am originally from the Philippines. I emigrated here in the USA, March 1999. I enlisted in the United States Air Force in February 2000 and completed my service in 2004. During my time of service, I got married and have a daughter. Being a mother was challenging. I actually thought I was doing a good job of it. My daughter's father thought otherwise. I was discharged with Honors and a Disability of 40%. Long story short, I suffered Post Traumatic Syndrome Disorder. I moved to North Carolina in April 2004 to start a new life, but evidently became a victim of Domestic Violence. I was not able to keep a stable job and send my daughter to a good school - according to said violent partner. I left him on November 2008 with help and support from friends and Interact of Wake County. My best friend help me with legal proceedings and custody of my daughter. I am now living happily with my best friend, who recenlty proposed to me; and my daughter, who is now 8, and is able to live her life the way it should be - happy and stress free from violence and abuse.
