My First Mother's Day
Here I am on my first Mother's Day. My daughter wasn't even two months yet and she looks bewildered (as I think most babies look at this age). My smile masks my extreme exhaustion and worry. It was an odd day for me because I didn't feel like a mom. It's still weird sometimes for me to think of myself that way.
That day, we took a long walk around Shelley Lake and I remember running into someone I know. I hadn't seen her since I had my daughter and she marveled at how beautiful she was and congratulated me. I was so proud.

Your baby girl is such a little cutie! I get the extreme exhaustion comment. I am still feeling it after both the recent one, 1 yr old (and the 5 yr old) haha

Thanks! I'm older than I look - I was 30 in that picture, 34 now. And I'm still exhausted.

People usually guess me younger, s o
though not many can say" I am older than I look "as we can....
At least we all can say though..........
"I AM younger than my mama" quote, unquote....
