Your life
I assume that I am the only mom of a high school senior out there, or the blogs here would have been filled with comments of the stress of the college application process. Only three weeks to go until all acceptances are mailed out. Will my sanity survive?? When I read Illyse's column on her Type A personality in getting online for her middleschoolers classes, I had to laugh: just wait until online college applications! I am a very hands-off parent. Whatever my child wants to do, apply to whatever college, whenever and however, is fine, as long as I don't have to serve as her

hi i am new to this mom blog but would just like to say something well i am 19 year old mom of a beautiful 10 month old baby girl named Samantha. i stay at home with her all day while her daddy goes to work. i just cant help but feel like a single mom sometimes though it seems that when her daddy is home he never wants to spend time with her. doesn't like feeding her changing her and barley ever wants to hold her :( the really sad part is that she will even cry sometimes when he does want to hold her it makes me feel so bad does anyone else have this problem??

Being a stay at home mom for over 2 yrs has been very rewarding as well as challenging at times. The things I have overcome include but are not limited to; morning sickness, colic, sleepless months, naptime, children removing their own diapers, potty training, and taking care of two boys under 2.
With that being said, I have somewhat figured out a way to manage my two little ones, now 16 months and 2 1/2, and am ready to take up something for my leisure that might earn me a buck or two.

Any opinions on where the best special education districts might be? Where my child would have plenty of chance to thrive?

Hi everybody,
I just moved on in Chapel Hill few days ago, I'm coming from Montreal (Canada) and I'm french-speaking, so sorry for my mistakes in English. My husband got a two-years contract at UNC. We have a little baby (6 weeks old), she's just beautiful :), and I have plenty of time because I'm on maternity leave.

Do you use Facebook? If so, yesterday you may have seen some strange messages. Under "status," women simply listed a color.
If you were mystified, it was an effort to spread Breast Cancer awareness, and women were invited to list simply the color of their bra.
I'm impressed that so many people that I knew--who didn't know each other-- all put down their various interesting colors. This shows how widespread communication on FB is.

Hello :) We will be moving to the Raleigh area in a few months. I have lived my whole life on the west coast and am excited to be starting a new life on the other side! Looking forward to meeting new people and making friends. Any advice on pediatricians, jobs, nicer "family" areas to buy a home or anything you feel I should know would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Do you post your child's photos online? If not, why not? If so, do you ever worry about it?
